Hi, my name is Hector. What can I say
about myself? Well to start off, I was born in Mexico and moved to California at
the young age 2. Before coming to UCSB I went to Madison high school, I had a
fun 4 years at this school. Back in high school I played quite a variety of
sports, football, wrestling, track and field, cross country, Frisbee. I really
enjoy going out and exploring new places and trying new things, especially when
it involves hiking or any type of food. One of my favorite hobbies is to watch
movies, my favorite genre of movies would have to be either indie, comedy, or
action/adventure film.
I currently reside at the FYRE
floor in Santa Cruz, the best dorms on campus in my opinion. I am also currently
a physics major, but am thinking about maybe trying to double major in
Chemistry. Since coming to UCSB, I now live a sort of simple life, going to
class, back to dorms to do work, eat, sleep, maybe go out with friends. One
thing that I really like to do is help others, I usually help people with chemistry,
math, and physics, if anyone ever needs any help, don’t mind asking.
As of right now I don’t know what I
would actually want to do after I graduate, but I do know that I want to do
something in the science field because I really find those types material
interesting and fun. One last thing about me, I always enjoy a challenge,
especially when I get class that is considered hard, because… I don’t really
know why, I just like making my life “miserable” according to my friends who
wonder why I like really hard topics.
