Last week was very different. To start, I wasn’t able to
attend class on Monday due to having some business I needed to get done back in
San Diego. Then on Wednesday we had an online lecture which was new and
somewhat nice experience.
Having missed Monday’s class, I missed out on the having the
opportunity for my fellow classmates to peer-review my essay. I would have
really benefited from it because I knew my writing need a good amount of
editing, I just didn’t know how to fix it myself or what would be better left
alone or changed.
On Wednesday, I had forgotten that class would be held
online so I was a bit confused on where everyone was at. Then I remembered and
logged on to Gauchospace immediately to make sure I wasn’t left behind. At
first I thought it was hard having to switch between so many tabs/windows, but
that was easy to adjust to; the hardest part was having to log onto the drive
so that my name would show up on the document, something which I am sure I was
not able to accomplish. I also enjoyed the videos we had to write about and how
they taught us how people will always see/interpret thing in their own way. The
one thing that I did like about the lecture was the way you set up the schedule
and how after some while of being in the classroom, I was able to go back home
to finish the lecture.
Having my essay graded, was really helpful in identifying
places where progress could be made. I think I have a lot of work ahead of me,
but with a bit more concentration and learning, I think my essay could definitely
improve considerably.
